Some might call it that but properly, it would be described as “Small, Round, Lightweight, Griddle”.
The “Gate Mark” (Not Shown) as well as the light weight and “Ornate” Handle would suggest that it is probably a “Late 19th Century or Early 20th Century” manufacture.
Not really too useful these days, just a bit to small to use by itself but as an “Add-On” pan or especially as a waffle warmer it’s great. Just stack the waffles on it and keep warm in oven until everything else is ready to eat.
