Emergency Signalling Mirror, not to commonly mentioned in “Lists” of survival equipment for one reason. They’re very specialized! A very useful tool in some situations and basically useless in many.
Great piece of gear for a dedicated survival kit used on boats or aircraft but not as useful inland. Excellent for signalling nearby boats or aircraft but quite heavy. You will not find these in many backpack survival kits for this very reason.
