I haven’t made these in years and I have no idea why! This is how I do it!

The Ribs!

The ribs are easy to make, take a 3 lb. pack and cut them up, throw them in a skillet and roast as required until done. Add some seasonings to the ribs if you like, I use a very small amount of Salt, Pepper & Garlic Powder.

350 degrees should be O.K., after all, we don’t want this to take all day! Stir them up once in a while.

Oops! These ones are just a little to well done, they only need to be cooked, not crispy!

Final step on the ribs, throw the cooked ribs in with the sauce, cover and simmer for as long as you can resist. When you start to get hungry, take the lid off and let them boil down a bit while the sauce continues to thicken.
The Rice!

Make your rice however you like! I make mine with barley added to the rice.
| My Rice/Barley Mix | Quantity |
| Rice (Any style of rice you might like) | 1 Cup, I like rice so this is only 2 Servings |
| Barley (Pearl or Pot Barley both work) | 0.25 Cup, I just grab a small palm full |
| Butter | 2 Tbsp, I call it a big slab |
| Salt | To Taste, I use a few good shakes |
| Water | As Required, I use 2 Cups for firm rice |
The Sauce!

This is a full batch, simmering down to thicken. Just mix it up, get it boiling, throw in the cooked ribs, reduce the heat to slow boil, cover & wait.
| Sweet & Sour Rib Sauce | Quantity |
| Water | 1.5 Cups |
| Vinegar (Plain white vinegar) | 0.5 Cup |
| Soy Sauce (Light or Dark will work) | 0.5 Cup |
| Sugar (Regular old white sugar) | 1.5 Cups |
| Cornstarch (or Flour to thicken the sauce | As Required, 1 -3 Tbsp should work well |
The results!

As a final note: This is a “Brown Sauce”, if you’re looking for that bright red style that you get at the mall when you’re shopping, then, I’m not the cook to ask yet.
Have a great day!
