The Radiators are a long-running New Orleans rock band formed in 1978, blending swamp rock, blues, R&B, funk, and improvisational jams into what fans call “fish head music.” With a stable core lineup including Ed Volker, Dave Malone, Camile Baudoin, Reggie Scanlan, and Frank Bua Jr., they built a devoted following through marathon live shows and decades of appearances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

“Last Getaway” is a soulful rock track from their 1995 album New Dark Ages, written by Dave Malone and John Malone. The song, which explores themes of escape and freedom, had already been a live favorite since the mid-1980s and remains a setlist staple with nearly 200 documented performances.

  • Released on the 1995 album New Dark Ages
  • Frequently featured on later live recordings and compilations
  • Known for its driving energy and emotional delivery
  • A fan favorite among the band’s dedicated “Fishhead” audience

A classic slice of Crescent City rock that captures the band’s enduring spirit and live-wire energy.
