Just another normal day for a “Gun Guy”.
A man walks into a gunshop to buy a box of 2 1/2″ .410 shells for some testing, walks out with 2 boxes .410, 2 boxes of 20 gauge, 2 boxes of .22 and a hankering for a rifle marked down for a super sale.
Within 18 hours I chose 3 single shot shotguns that had served me well.
1 x 12 gauge. 1 x 28 gauge. 1 x .410 went up the river and I came home with this. LOL
You know how it is when you get a new rifle, haha. Gotta share some pics with friends. It’s not a Henry lever which is still on the list, but this has been on the list longer.
A decent .223, best of all it fits in really nice with the survival rifle collection. Ruger American Ranch 5.56, synthetic stock, Adjustable trigger. I haven’t owned a .223 since the 80’s when I had many.
I put an old Bushnell banner 1.5 – 4.5 scope and a small bipod on it. The bipod will come off after I lock the scope down tight.
Long range pop can testing will begin shortly. LOL 75 yds. LOL
In all honesty I think a decent shooter should be able to take shots out well past 200 which is much further than I normally shoot and 150 yards further than I would need for hunting.
It’s like a little brother to my .243 Model 7 Remington.
