I loaded some experimental .243 loads with sized buckshot pellets. They were too long to fit into the rifle’s chamber. They were also crimped to maximum. This had to be corrected or the Rounds would need to be disassembled to start from scratch.

.243 loaded with 48.0 gr. buckshot slugs that have been sized for .245, loaded with light charges of pistol powder.

.243 just happened to fit into the pencil sharpener really well! I just shaved off about 8.2 gr. of lead, gave the pellets a nice spitzer point, then shot ’em!

Off to the range with the chronograph, let’s get some velocities!
