I managed to get a variety of camp cooking set ups to compare while I was walking past the local campground, let’s look at them and see some different ones.

Set 1

A simple Coleman dual burner propane stove, thrift store pot, and what looks like a small grill behind it.

Using a 20 lb. BBQ bottle is great but missing a second hose for the grill and a tank splitter to really shine!

Set 2

For those that only need a grill, excellent.

Add a tank splitter and a second hose along with a dual burner propane stove to up the game.

Set 3

Grill with single burner each with it’s own hose because they have a splitter on a small tank.

I applaud the use a larger tank but with a trailer to carry it, why not a 20 lb. bottle which is your best savings.

Set 4

Coleman Grill/Burner combo unit with small bottle. Perfect for small cars.

An upgrade to this would be a small refillable bottle.

Set 5

This grill is also a smoker.

Behind it lies the propane stove running on a small bottle again. Not good value.

The smoker option adds quite a bit to the cost of this unit, and it’s big too.

Set 6

The same Smoker/Grill combo was seen at this site, not sure of the hose/bottle configuration though.

Legs folded on smoker.

It seems like the perfect combination is a grill & smoker each with their own hose running through a tank splitter to a 20 lb. tank.
