Intended Use
This rifle gives you the ability to quickly decide if you want to use an “Aimed Rifle Shot” or a “Shotgun Shell” to take the game you are hunting.
Effective Range
Maximum range on the rifle is about 75 Yds. Maximum range on the shotgun would be about 40 Yds. Like a lot of multi-purpose tools it does both jobs adequately but neither one well.

These rifles were made in a variety of caliber/gauge options and have become quite collectible.
Safety
This rifle has NO manual safety on it. You must manually cock the hammer each time you want to fire it.
Action

Traditional break action, single shot, hammer fired, single shot rifle or shotgun.

Barrel

Muzzle

The muzzle on this rifle is not threaded. The front sight also serves as a barrel band.
Trigger

Single trigger for both barrels. Selection of which barrel to fire is made on the hammer.
Stock

The stock is in rough shape. The buttstock is damaged and needs replacement or repair.
Buttplate

Missing buttplate should be replaced in the future.
Sights

These sights are actually quite good, for me anyway.

Optics

The .22 barrel has a 3/8″ Dovetail groove on it if you want to install a scope.
Magazines
Single shot break action, no mags.
Accessories
Utility Pouch

Of course I have a buttstock mounted utility pouch on this shotgun. It’s a great place to store ammo, tools, hunting lic. etc.

Sling
This rifle is not currently fitted for a sling. It really needs one though, it’s heavy. A standard rear swivel combined with a “Barrel Band” front swivel would do nicely.
Light
No light mounting options are available for this rifle.
Bipod
This rifle was not designed or intended to be used with a bipod.
Flash Hider
The muzzle as you have seen is not threaded or designed to have a flash hider installed.
Optics
A small fixed power scope may be used on a rifle like this to increase the range of the .22. In modern times, a small Red Dot sight may also be used.
Ammunition Handling
Throw some .22 ammo in your pocket and load up the buttstock ammo carrier with some .410 shotshells and you are good to go.
What would I Change?
A replacement stock set, sling swivels and an optic would be great but it is low priority.
Ammunition
Standard .22 Short, Long or Long Rifle & .410 up to 3″ shells.
Shooting Results
Factory Ammunition
I have tested both the .22 & the .410. Amazingly they both are accurate enough for me and I am thoroughly convinced that in it’s day, this rifle was a really good choice.
What’s Next?
It’s a low priority project so I might use it for testing some .410 handloads in the future or it might get traded off.
